Sri Krishna College of Technology, Coimbatore has signed a MoU with Electronics Sector Skills Council of India, New Delhi and also inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in Electronics (VLSI & Embedded System Design) at the college premises on 09.07.2016. Mr. N.K.Mohapatra, CEO of ESSCI has exchanged MoU between Smt. S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Sri Krishna Institutions and also inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in Electronics (VLSI & Embedded System Design).The purpose of MoU is to develop skilled human resources to support the nation’s vision on skill India. Outcome of the Centre of Excellence in Electronics:

1. ESSCI (Electronics Sector Skills Council of India) certification based on the Qualification Packs (QP) / National Occupation Standards to the curriculum designed for the Institution. The existing curriculum may be revamped in line with the industrial needs and expectations.
2. Involving Students in project (Consultancy/Industrial) development to enhance their skills.
3. Students shall be trained as per Qualification Packs (QP) and subjected for ESSCI Certification.
4. Special placement drive will be conducted for the certified students.
5. ESSCI Certification is a resume-enhancing recognition and the certificate is downloadable & can be validated online.

VMWARE IT ACADEMY - CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

VMware IT Academy was inaugurated by Mr.R.S. Sachin Kumar, Regional Program manager(AP & J), VMware on 15 th March 2018. VMware IT Academy at SKCT enables instructors to deliver authorized VMware courses in a variety of settings. Students can jump-start their career by acquiring knowledge with coursework through a global network of colleges and universities, and through online certification opportunities, hands-on labs, and other VMware learning resources. The department of CSE received the PARTNER EXCELLENCE AWARD on VMware Appreciation Day – 2017, 29th March 2017  for the implementation of VMware IT Academy initiatives during the academic year 2016-17.

As Data Science and Big Data Analytics are one of the emerging technology in the field of IT, it is noted that the candidates posses wider knowledge in the domain. So, EMC Corporation organized the course in Data science and Big data Analytics so as to enrich the knowledge about the technology. Some of the benefits are:

Cloud Application Development Incubation Center (CADIC)

SKCT inks an industry – academia MOU with Cloud Bull, Chennai for setting up an Incubation Center at its premises. The CADIC Incubation Center will provide platform for Application development in cloud for all students

The Incubation center is equipped with state of the art infrastructure for cloud computing using Sales Force with 70 systems, high speed WIFI and LAB connectivity. Students showcased their applications with commercial viability to the visiting Cloud Bull team who appreciated the efforts of the CADIC students. CADIC aims to fully utilize the Incubation Center to start application development using Sales Force under the guidance of Cloud Bull Team which will pave way for meaningful technological engagements and outcomes through this MOU.

Palo alto Networks is one of the leading software company provides next-generation firewall & network security solutions for enterprises. Sri Krishna college of Technology has signed Mou with Palo alto networks and they sponsored Next –generation firewall test bed for the institution. Students are getting exposure to work in network security and Next generation firewall.

VLand’s Best Hub Pvt. Ltd.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has signed a MoU with VLand’s Best Hub Pvt. Ltd.(Professional Development Hub) the Centre of Excellence on 09.08.2017. The purpose of MoU is to enhance the skills of the students indirectly to support the nation’s vision on skill India. The Laboratory experiences provide opportunities for the students to interact directly with the material world or with the data drawn with the material world using the tools, designs and theory of engineering. Outcome of the Centre of Excellence is to establish a centre and conduct a value added courses with Hands on training for the students with the trainer from the company VLand’s Best Hub Pvt. Ltd.

The Centre of Excellence for Environmental Engineering laboratory has been established in the year 2015 which focuses extensive activities covering those related to teaching, research, development, and consultancy. The department is carrying out various consultancy services in the design of STP, water treatment plants and solid waste management plan. Some of the areas of the major projects undertaken at the lab are

The Centre of Excellence for Structural Engineering laboratory has been established in the year 2015 which caters a wide spectrum of activities covering those related to teaching, research, development, and consultancy. The primary activities include experimental studies on model/prototype of structural elements and assemblies under various static and dynamic loading conditions. With the available test area, load/displacement-controlled equipment for load application, precision instrumentation, data acquisition and monitoring, the laboratory represents facility for large and full scale investigation of the load-deformation behaviour of structures for strength and deformability up to the failure.
